Pre-wedding Photos: Eka & Yudho

Nothing complicated, just a walk in the park in a little rainy Sunday morning.
in fact, it was indeed a breezy and easy Sunday morning to start with.

Pre-wedding Photos: Gita & Edo

I have known Gita since my high school years. 

We then went to the same college yet oddly spent less and less time together; Not because we grew apart but somehow because we just never crossed path. So when she called me to arrange a photoshoot with Pikme, I was definitely thrilled

Thrilled to see her husband-to-be, Edo, and thrilled to finally get her to play dress-up and boss her around. hehe

This couple was actually really easy to work with, so the short time that we had was not really a big issue. 

Granted, they did not have a particular request for the pictures. Their special request was just to had a session done in front of the office building she and Edo met for the first time. 

At first Edo was a little bit awkward with his facial expression (as the case with 90 % of the guys!!), 

but we resorted to the old trick of 'look into the girl's eyes' which usually do the trick of easing the otherwise their super-tense face.  I guess it's because guys rarely look at themselves in the mirror smiling?

and so it did, and I think they did a really good job of looking good in front of the camera together, don't you think? 

:) 

Pre-Wedding Photos : Windy & Arif

Windy, the bride, wants to adopt a simple yet glamorous pre-wed pictures. Not the common words to put in one sentence, or in this case, one frame. 

We thought this is another chance to explore the "vintage" terrain again. 

(And yes, we do hate to overuse that expression.)

But, honestly,  naturally, we think 'classic' pictures are the ones that boasts elegance, without pretention.
 

The first series are inspired by Breakfast at Tiffany's. The melancholic ambience and the subdued light played a major part in inspiring the delicate beauty that makes these pictures. A symbol of fresh start of Windy and Arif's lives. 

We can't help to utilize the classic white wedding gown we had at our disposal, by reliving the Roman Holiday (another Hepburn movie), to show the more flirtatious sides of Windy and Arif.

Windy has such a sharp and well-defined face feature, which we think, would be perfect for 1920s themed pictures. We even made our own custom-made headdresses to accentuate the setting, and this goes well with Arif's fondness in hats.

Vintage; the time that something of quality was produced. 

We couldn't agree more.

(there, one last use of the word! :p) 

Pre-Wedding Photos : Rismania & Tito

Initialy, Rismania & Tito hesitated in displaying any pre-wed photos at their wedding reception. Not because they did not want to, but because they hardly had the time to prepare a photo session. 

As their friends, surely it is our duty to help them with this dillema. We helped them decide to have the 60's-themed photo to flatter Risma's bright and charming facial features and Tito's down-to-earth and genuine character. For a personal touch, they bring a little of their romance story into the photo session. In one of the series, they wore the uniform from the office when they met for the first time. 

The results? See for yourself! We think these photos radiates happiness in every frame, inviting you to fell their happiness.

Pre-wedding Photos : Kadek & Gede

Kadek is one of Pikme Photography founder who always has unique ways to... surprise us. She gave us a call, out of the blue to handle her pre-wed photo session at Gde's (the groom) house.

With challenging location and limited wardrobe (Gde works in Aceh and the photo session was called out few days before), we damn well were stretched to the limit in creating the Bali atmosphere in Gde and Kadek's pre-wedding photos, of course without losing the couple's genuine personality. The idea was to show their closest friends and family, the side they rarely show.


Mission accomplished! :)

Pre-wedding Photos : Eko & Loiker

Loiker, the bride-to-be, came for us for a simple, classic and natural pictures for her engagement shots. While Eko wanted a little touch of nature and outdoor-sy feel to it. This means lots of wardrobe options and locations.


We were short on time, so we ended up playing around with natural available lights and angles.
despite the limited location choices, end result was surprisingly a good selection of look and feel!

Pre-wedding Photos : Zega & Tania

Tania has been a friend of ours forever, so we know how this couple is very relaxed and laid back, yet incredibly unique. After several relaxed brainstorming, we came up with the idea of "Fairytale" theme for Tania and Zega's photo shoots. Something natural, fun, with a whimsical twist to it.


In Alice in Wonderland, Tania is (obviously) Alice who somehow decides to have a flirty escapade with The Rabbit, to Red Riding Hood, who fell in love with her furry hunter and finally.. Prince Charming and Ms. Sleeping Beauty who's just.. well, sleepy all the time.
(Even long after the kiss apparently, Prince Charming somehow have to live with that fact. Oh well. :p )

May the sweet couple will live happily, ever ever after. 

Pre-wedding Photos : Putu & Wayan

Balinese vibe, was essential for this couple. 

Despite taken in  in Jakarta,  the couple made it clear that they wanted the pictures to be "very Bali." Having lived in Jakarta, Putu and Wayan decided to make their special day ever more special by tying the knot where their roots are, in Bali. Being one of the most interesting ethnic background in Indonesia, we were excited to bring about Balinese touch to the pictures.  


Beautiful and intricate Balinese dress for both Putu and Wayan, not unlike the royal Balinese couple from a distant time. :)

Pre-wedding Photos : Deasy & Ricky

Deasy and Ricky could not be a more different character.

But as with many other couples we know, they make it work by complementing each other.
I've been friends with Deasy since we were 12 years old. It has been a while! So I know in most cases, sometimes without her being able to help it, she could be very dominant. :p

Demanding is also good word. But we're glad that with that, also comes an attitude of openness and very easy to work with. Deasy did a bit of stint of modeling. So posing, (and playing dress up!) comes naturally for her. We moved locations several times, for the classic and elegant look  the couple requested on for their picture. In the end of the day, we just want to make sure Ricky comes up on the foreground! :p

Pre-wedding Photos : Renata & Begawan

Renata and Begawan likes to keep it light. 

Nothing too frilly, just some touches added here and there. 

Life, is like having a walk in the park, so to say.  You might know the park really well, or not at all. You'll find people walking around, sharing the park with you. But it's definitely a treat, when you have found someone to walk with. 

Life is a playground, and Renata and Gawan has found their true sandbox buddy  :)
